I have GigaMem 3.12 (patched to work with page mode memory as in the GVP
accelerators) and it works fine with Lightwave, and modeller. I try to
avoid it unless my scene is too large to fit in my RAM as it slows down
the rendering. But if it means being able to render a scene, it's worth
it. Remember, if you use a file rahter than a partition for your virtual
memory, that file HAS to be on a different partition than any file that
you are trying to write to. My advice is to just make a partition for
gigamem. It works much better that way. I've also used Gigamem with
Imagine 3.0 and Real3|D.
Hardware/software
A2000 rev 6.2 motherboard
GVP 33/MHZ 040 w/ 16Meg
MegaChip 2000
WB 2.1
Gigamem 3.12
other stuff.
